There was another ex-NFL player who went nuts last week on a highway and ended up getting himself killed. What's the deal with former NFLers?

Might it be that their 15 minutes of fame are up, and they don't know how to handle that? Just a theory.

The guy who shot at the house was a placekicker, though. It's not as likely he was using performance enhancers.

When I saw the headline about an Oakland Raiders kicker being arrested I naturally thought Sebastian Janikowski had gone nuts (again) and started to wonder which "high powered" attorney would get him off this time ....only to discover it was ANOTHER Oakland placekicker -- albeit one from 7 years ago....is there something in the water out there in the bay area that makes these guys go crazy or is it just Al Davis? :confused:

If he's shooting at somebody else's house eek! , there's almost certainly a personal issue going on. What kind of personal issue is another question.

Somehow, the fact he was a Raider seems appropriate to the actions; a former Patriot (as an example) just doesn't seem the type to fire shots at someone's home.

Yeah, Siegfried & Roy got him drunk one night and had their way with him. The lions watched! Now he's bitter.

The latest picture of him looks like the Unibomber. Saw it on the news last night. Can't find it online unfortunately.

As for his reasons:

Maybe he watched an episode of the incredibly horrific "Father of the Pride". I could see a jury letting him walk if that's his defense. wink

Oh come on. Who among us hasn't wanted to take a shot at Sigfried and Roy at one time or another.

All kidding aside, thankfully no oone was hurt and hopefully the police will track him down and bring him in peacefully.

Glad none of the animals were shot.
