The other little tibit about Ty's arrest(which was a few years ago) was that he was in Ft. Worth, Texas to sing at a Law Enforcement Convention. I believe he was married at the time of his arrest.

From what I remember, Ty placed the source of his behavior to the drugs. So, I guess it was "beyond his control"... mmmmmm

When he made his video "Steam"..the gaydar went off the wall. The style of the video just seemed to screamed "family". The focus of the sexuality was all about Ty. One of his other videos involving a failing relationship also seem to promote him as a hetrosexual sensual lover. If I remember that video correctly, the director showed more skin off Ty than they did of the woman.

I haven't heard too much from Ty on a professional basis lately. I think he released a song about year or so ago. Wonder if he is still married?

There are so many country music hotties that I can't keep up with them all. I pretty much only listen to country now. I just can't get enough of it. I used to be crazy about Chris Cagle, but his voice kind of turns me off now.

If I had to choose one favorite country star, it'd have to be Josh Turner. He's hot-looking and has a wonderful, Johnny Cash-ish voice.

The second runner-up is Brad Paisley, mostly because he acts like he doesn't realize how hot he really is.

Aaron Lines is probably singing about himself when he says "You can't hide beautiful, You can't hide wonderful".

And George Canyon has a manly square jaw. At the end of his video, the man his riding a horse, wearing a white undershirt showing a strong upper body.

Each year, the local country station hosts something they call the "KZLA Country Bash," in which a large group of musicians each play short sets. About three years back, I got tickets (Travis Tritt was that year's headliner & I'm a big fan.) Among the other performers was Keith Urban, who had just released his first solo cd and one of the interchangeable females (either Sarah Evans or Chely Wright--I don't remember which.) Tritt was tremendous but it was Urban who was the big surprise. His musicianship was impressive--playing numerous instruments during his own set & as backup for other acts & willingly playing up his sexiness. During the woman's set, she joked the crowd wasn't getting a good view of his "backside action" as he played, so he faced ass to the crowd for her final number. Squeals ensued. I'm still not a fan of Urban's singing (or song choices--too sappy) but he has a lot more talent than I had originally thought.

He was asked how feels about being considered sexy by his women fans and replied "Hell, I don't even mind it when guys think I'm sexy--especially if it gets them to listen to the music." I'm a huge country fan, and I'm not sure how I missed this thread until now.

On the topic of possibly open-minded country singers, on CMT Stacked, Tim McGraw listed Will and Grace as his favorite TV show. Doesn't always mean someone is accepting, but at least it means they're not a homophobe.

And on the hot country singers topic, I've seen Chesney, Cagle, McGraw, Urban, Big and Rich, and Rascal Flatts in concert, and most looked better to me in person than on camera. Cagle, McGraw, Rich from Big and Rich, and the guy with black hair in Rascal Flatts all look great up close in person. Urban looks good, but not quite as good as the camera makes him. Chesney is too short for me, lol. And those of you that mentioned McGraw not looking special when you saw him in the past, he's really gone through some sort of makeover in the last year or two. He wears designer clothes, cleaned up his face, got in much better shape. He is a stud now. The only guy I've called hot around my brother (after I made my bro go to his concert with me when a friend cancelled) without him looking disgusted, lol.

Not only is it his favorite show, but he also has said that he'd like to appear as Will's boyfriend sometime. I doubt it will ever happen for any number of reasons, but it was nonetheless cool that he was secure enough to say it.

Haven't heard that, but I know Tim is in a movie that is supposedly coming out soon. And, if I remember right, Will did look pretty good in the episode when his sugar daddy made him dress up like a cowboy... that could be pretty interesting. Those two would be great to think about, even though they're both straight.

Gary Allan has been one of my favourite country artists for a long time so it's really nice to hear him say something like this. Too bad more country artists don't develop this attitude!
