Four game winning streak - two over Baltimore, and two over Boston.

It's fun playing the 'weak' East !!

Maybe we can hit .500?????????????? rolleyes.gif

Always a possibility, especially with the Red Sox slumping. I notice that gay porn "star" Kazuhito Tadano gave up 4 runs yesterday and on the season in 3 appearances has a 9.64 ERA and opposing hitters are batting .409 against him.

Stats in general, especially with baseball are so misleading, i mean meaningless. I keep hearing that Cleveland's starting pitching has been something like 2nd best in the league. What good is it if the bullpen is atrociously bad ?!

I am finally getting a chance to watch a tribe game here in Phoenix on ESPN2 and we are playing the RED SOX's and just got a look at Johhny Damon...damn..when did he turn into Grizzly Adams??? He looks like a Mountain Man...and a hot one at that!
osufan
Tribe takes over sole posession of 3rd place !

Okay so that doesn't sound like much, but 3 in a row over Anaheim, and hearing the Angels fans boo Bartolo was awesome. Sorry Jim Allen !

Only 5 and a half out of first pending the White Sox game tonight...who knows?
osufan
Sweep Sweeeeeeeep ! bye Cincinnati - National League teams ? No prob.

At least Cincy has cute Jason Larue

Nothin beats a nice beefy Texan

Over .500 baby, first time this year ! And 4-1/2 games out of first place.

If only we had the Yankees payroll we could just buy whatever players we needed to improve.

Go Tribe !

Is the real cinderella of this year on the Cuyahoga? While the Reds, Brewers, D-Rays, and now (seemingly) the Rangers were being fitted for the glass slippers. the Indians just hung around. But now the Tribe is just 3.5 in back of the Twins in the Central and lookuing like they could win the whole thing. So I am now placing my Cinderella allegiance with Cleveland.
copman
I'm just thrilled they are staying above .500! biggrin.gif
osufan
Cleveland fans will accept all newcomer fans !

Do you think we can actually have AN article, be it 3 or 4 sentences on MLB.com ??? Could it be possible ? eek!
Boltergeist
The Indians take the first of 13 remaining games with the Twins, creeping within 2 games and proving there might be at least 1 divisonal race after all (unless Anaheim or Texas can hang with Oakland)
Joe in Philly
The Indians are now just one game out. Very surprising. They go for a sweep of the Twins and a tie for the lead tomorrow.
osufan
Close game today - the twins led only once in the 3 game series, and it took extra innings.

Indians owners had a plan when they dismantled the team couple years ago - the goal was to 'Contend in '05' - so any accomplishments this year are just gravy.

Since late May, Indians have second best record in the AL. Imagine if they spent some money and tried to contend THIS year !

OMG, too funny! I'm watching the Yankees-Indians game, and a squirrel runs onto the field in the third inning and starts roaming around the outfield, then meanders into the infield. Play was stopped until the squirrel ran back out and took a position in short center.

The squirrel's still there, and the game just ended, 4-3 Cleveland, breaking a nine-game losing streak. There's little doubt the Rally Squirrel ("Jake"?) will become part of Cleveland lore!

The squirrel stayed there for the entire game??? Awesome!

By the way, what happened to the Indians? They really collapsed in the last week.
osufan
The squirrel was so cool ! One lady in the stands had a t-shirt "I Love the Squirrel"

Joe, they lost 9 straight, but Minnesota and Texas are very hot right now...and the 2 losses to Yankees were both by one run decided in the 8th or 9th innings.

Ok, this is funny...

I was flipping channels, between MAD TV and the White Sox v. Indians game, and when I jumped back to the game, I saw this guy who was relief pitching for the Indians, and I said to myself jokingly, "Oh, that must be the porn star!" Immediately, the WGN commentators (Darrin Jackson and Ken Harrelson) said, "I've heard he's a big movie star in Japan. I don't know exactly what he does, but he has done some movies over there," or something along those lines. Right at that moment, Kahuzito Tadano turned his back to the camera, bended over, and there was a great shot of his butt! eek! wink biggrin.gif

Up to this point (top of the 8th), he has allowed one hit and no runs, striking out two players (Carl Everett, Ross Gload) and the third batter (Ben Davis) hit a high pop-up that was caught. Anyways, the White Sox are leading 5-1.

So he's got an earpiece and listening to the White Sox broadcast, and was informing them of exactly what he did on film? wink
