Yeah yeah, so the Oscars are out. So are the Razzies honoring the worst movies of 2004. Taken directly from the
www.razzies.com press release, here is your chance to vote for the winners. Also discuss the movies and actors you feel were wrongly passed over for nomination this year. Be bitchy. It's allowed!

There should be a tie between all things "Superbabies" and "White Chicks." Damn. That's some seriously bad competition. I love the Wayans brothers being nominated for worst actress. Too funny.
"Freddy Got Fingered" deserves to win its category, just so Tom Whatshisbucket will accept an award again. That was priceless.
But stay away from "Mommy Dearest" - it's a camp classic - and "Xanadu." I know it's terrible, but I love "Xanadu." Xanadu, your neon lights will shine ... for you Xanadu!!

I remember when Mariah Carey's
B eek! eek! BIES were nominated (and I think won) for Worst Onscreen Couple.

Mariah's boobs sit so far apart from one another that I'd be hard pressed to call them a couple. It's really bizarre.

I saw a little bit of Catwoman in the video store. Wow, how far they fall from Oscar grace! Sorry Halle, I prefer you as Storm. I saw a bit of Alexander when I was in the theatre. We sneaked into another one that was playing it and watched for about ten minutes. Those were the longest ten minutes of my life. I was thankful I didn't pay to see that one.

Wow, looks like we got a couple of run away contests and few close ones. Should be interesting to see how accurate we are to the 650 actual RAZZIE voters.

For me, it's just not the razzies without Madonna or Jennifer Lopez being nominated for current work. Fortunately, we still have Ben Affleck.

Xanadu? Get your hands off of my Olivia. How in the world could you ever pick on my Olivia. Shame, Shame, Shame on you.
She's in Sordid Lives also referring back to movies you've recently seen.

I got together with some friends last year for a viewing of Xanadu ... I was so excited! (Yes, I own it on video.) But, to my dismay, I discovered that watching it with other people really opens your eyes to how excrutiatingly bad it truly is. Not unlike porn, Xanadu is best viewed in the privacy of one's own home!
My favorite part is the first time the muses come alive on the wall. So cool! Have to believe we are magic ...

Yeah, it was a terrible film. But it has one of the best movie soundtracks ever. I could never decide if I preferred the Olivia Newton-John side or the E.L.O. side. ...and Olivia actually sang a fantastic version of "Magic" before the Men's Championship Match at the Australian Open on Sunday. She looked wonderful!

It's only February 2nd but I think we may already have a nominee for Worst Actress next year. Tara Reid plays a scientist of sorts in a new film costarring Christian Slater (what the hell happened to his career?) and Stephen Dorff! I am almost tempted to see it just to see how truly awful she undoubtedly is!

The movie is called "Alone in the Dark." It apparently did very poorly at the box office ... Jay Leno did a bit that said it was called "Alone in the Dark" because you were the only person in the theater watching the movie!!
Tara Reid's 15 minutes are up, methinks. A Razzie might give her a much needed career boost. Same for poor Christian.

But, Stepehn Dorff is totally hot. Especially with out his shirt on. woof

I can't say I've ever seen him without his Klingon makeup on, much less his shirt!

Leave Tara Reid alone!
She's an EAGLES fan! (Thankfully, she's not related to Andy....)

A place where nobody dared to go
The love that we came to know
They call it Xanadu
And now
Open your eyes and see
What we have made is real
We are in Xanadu
A million lights are dancing
And there you are
A shooting star
An everlasting world
And you're here with me
Eternally
Xanadu, Xanadu,
(now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu, Xanadu,
(now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu, your neon lights will shine
For you, Xanadu
The love
The echoes of long ago
You needed the world to know
They are in Xanadu
The dream
That came through a million years
That lived on through all the tears
It came to Xanadu
A million lights are dancing
And there you are
A shooting star
An everlasting world
And you're here with me
Eternally
Xanadu, Xanadu,
(now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu, Xanadu,
(now we are here)
In Xanadu
Now that I'm here
Now that you're near in Xanadu
Now that I'm here
Now that you're near in Xanadu
Xanadu...

Thanks Gaga4Gaby for the lyrics...I have always wondered what she was saying in that song. I agree...the movie royally sucked, but the soundtrack was killer. I still love Olivia.

My respect for Halle Berry has inreased to the power of 100:
QUOTE
And the award for Good Sport of the Year goes to... Halle Berry! The Oscar champ was dishonored as the worst actress of 2004 at Saturday's Golden Raspberry Awards for her performance in Catwoman — and she actually showed up to accept her trophy! \"I want to thank Warner Bros. for casting me in this piece of s---,\" she cracked, clutching her Razzie in one hand and her 2002 Oscar for Monster's Ball in the other.
Good for you Halle!
