Interesting list ... I attended #4 as a schoolboy on Columbus Day 1973, but my dad and I missed the initial Rose-Harrelson tussling because we were distracted by two fans slugging it out a few rows behind us!

Suspensions handed down from the latest basebrawl. From ESPN.com:

QUOTE
Diamondbacks pitcher Miguel Batista has been suspended for 10 games and Cardinals first baseman Tino Martinez for four games for their roles in a fight that touched off a benches-clearing brawl Sunday, ESPN's Peter Gammons reports.

Cardinals reliever Jeff Fassero, who was ejected for hitting Arizona's Luis Gonzalez in the rib cage in the ninth inning, received a three-game suspension Friday, Gammons reports.

Martinez and Batista clashed in St. Louis, where Arizona closed out the three-game series with a 1-0 victory, one batter after Martinez was hit in the shoulder blade by a 1-0 pitch. As Martinez threw a punch, Batista threw a ball at Martinez player but missed. Both benches quickly cleared.
As for the list, I remember watching #3 (Orioles-Yankees) on TV when that fight happened. Strawberry getting clobbered and chickenshit Benitez running for the dugout faster than Rickey Henderson stealing second.

I've never been to a game in which a brawl broke out. Should I consider myself lucky or missing out?

Shouldn't the list be called "Bottom ten basebrawls of all time?" There's really no need for all that violence on the playing field. Won't someone think of the children?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch 5 solid hours of "Grown Men Whacking Each Other with Sticks on Ice." Woohoo!
