The Simpsons' internacional appeal.

I remember an interview that Tracy Ullman did a few months ago for the LA Times. She said that now that the Simpsons have become a cultural phenom she wished that they'd return her the favor & give her a lil time slot of her stand up/comedy skits during their show. I thought, "Wow that be kind of cool actually."

I MUST HAVE THIS!!! SOMEONE OBTAIN THIS FOR ME RIGHT NOW!!!

Assuming it's in English, that is. laugh.gif

I don't know if this helps Joe. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Thanks, but they want you to pay $9.99 per month, like a club or something. I am not doing that.
SCTrojan
I believe this one is free. wink.gif

*the 1st one (top left) ISN'T Homer's voice.

The first one isn't Homer but it is from the movie.

I have no idea how I would get this to my phone, though.

Edit to add: Found a site where you can download it onto the PC. Soon I'll have it on my iPod. laugh.gif Still not sure how to get it to my phone. It has a USB port. I can connect the phone to the computer. So I just have to figure out how to transfer it.

There's an mp3 with Marge's line as well:

The end of that first clip (taken from The Simpsons episode "The Italian Bob") acknowledged this very well.

I read in Entertainment Weekly that the newest Simpson will appear during season 19. That's right, Spider-Pig lives! laugh.gif
Joe in Philly
The 19th season opener was pretty mediocre, which wasn't really unexpected. The opening chalkboard-to-couch sequence was fun, though. Spider-Pig, Spider-Pig... smile.gif

Because there still is no deal in place for key cast members of Fox's The Simpsons, production on the 20th season of the animated comedy has been delayed, and sources say that could mean a cutback in the planned 22-episode run. Dan Castellaneta (who voices Homer), Julie Kavner (Marge), Nancy Cartwright (Bart), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Hank Azaria (Moe), and Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns) reportedly make around $360,000 an episode, but a new deal could increase their take to $500,000, including bonuses. That haul is comparable to many live-action sitcom stars, save for special cases like Two and a Half Men's Charlie Sheen. The cast held out for more money in 2004, when they were aiming for $125,000 per episode, and also in 1998, when they were making just $30,000 per episode. That year, Fox actually hired casting directors to search for replacements. Fox says the current talks are less hostile than in past hold-outs, and insiders say a deal could come as soon as this week.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who wrote "Superbad," are reportedly writing a Simpsons episode.

Does anybody know the episode where Nelson does something heroic or worthy and he enters the classroom with his peers chanting "Nelson! Nelson!" around him and he's motioning with his fingers (palms up) like a benevolent dictator? I have this moment in repeat in my head and it's driving me crazy trying to recall where I saw it. Thanks.

Off the top of my head, all I can think of is that he ran against Lisa for president of the student council or something.

Woo-hoo! Fox has ordered two more Simpsons seasons. That will make 22 total, surpassing Gunsmoke's 20 seasons as the longest-running prime-time series ever. And with 493 total episodes after the 22nd season, it's not a stretch to expect them to tack on at least one more to go past the 500 mark.

Joe you'd better get ready to camp out at the post office because The Simpsons stamps are coming!!!!

I only buy the "forever" stamps because even if they raise the rate the "forever" stamps are still good, and most months I only use one stamp. laugh.gif

Homer to try curling in a future episode.

QUOTE
Curling will be getting some prime-time exposure just prior to next year's Winter Olympics in Vancouver as Homer and Marge Simpson take up one of Canada's favourite sports.

An episode of the long-running comedy The Simpsons featuring the cartoon power couple playing the game is scheduled to run in early February on the Fox Network.

"We wanted to do a show at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver and my initial idea was to have Homer and three of his buddies do a four-man bobsled," said writer Rob LaZebnik. "Then we decided there's a lot more interesting story having Homer do something with Marge."

In the episode, Homer and Marge form a mixed curling team with Principal Skinner and his mother, who are experienced curlers. It turns out that Marge is a natural, while Homer is a disaster on the ice. Marge is faced with a difficult decision: possibly win a medal by asking Homer to leave the team or ruin their chances by keeping him.
SCTrojan
Joe, I told you that Marge's a slut. 1st she performs fellatio on Flanders & now this. That lil hussy. tongue.gif
Joe in Philly
That isn't the real Marge, it's her evil clone! It's a plot being perpetrated by this group of villains! laugh.gif

Meanwhile, you can follow Homer on Twitter! Most recent update: "I love Fall. It’s the time of year when schools take over the job of acting like someone cares about your children." tongue.gif

I'm tired of the Simpsons. I used too watch them all the time. I only like the pre-2000 shows. I newer ones suck...they're running out of ideas. The movie was awful too.

Wrong. Saddlesore Galactica, AKA the best episode ever or damn close came out in 2000.

By "newer ones" I mean after 2003...Just because you think its "best episode ever or damn close" Doesn't make either one of our opinions right or wrong.

I am a huge Simpsons fan. But while during the early years there were 12-15 great epsiodes per season, in recent years that number has dropped way off. But I think the show has gotten better again since the movie came out.
Joe in Philly
I don't expect many truly great episodes any more. What I take out of them are the little moments -- the sight gags and one-liners and comments on current events and pop culture.

Last night I finally got to see MacHomer, Rick Miller's one-man show in which he does Macbeth in Simpsons voices. Very good. Not all of his voices are the best but they're close enough. And it's not 100 percent Shakespeare's lines. There are a decent amount of derivations into "Simpson-speak" and a couple of surprise appearances as well. Go see it!
Joe in Philly
If you did not watch last night's episode, "Flaming Moe," in which Moe's is transformed into a gay bar, go watch it online. It might be their gayest episode ever (and that's saying something).
