Guys and Balls has been discussed before, as it's made the gay film fest circuit (I saw it last year in Toronto), but it's nice to see that it will be playing in regular theatres in selected cities. It's a lightweight comedy/romantic-comedy, filled with somewhat predictably funny characters--best to see it with a large gay audience, as gay men seem to enjoy laughing at their own stereotypes. And good to support gay films, and foreign films, too boot.
There's a nice earnestness to this film, and it's better than the Icelandic gay soccer film
Eleven Men Out. Those European like their gay soccer films, don't they?
