Anyone else watching this new show on the Food Network? I love it and it's really entertaining. I missed the premiere episode but luckily the network reruns a lot of its shows so now I'm caught up. There have been 2 eliminations so far and the challenges have been quite interesting. The group of contestants are really good.

My personal favorite, the hottie Brook, was eliminated in the opening show unfortunately. Damn. Who doesn't love a wrestling coach who cooks?

There is also a gay couple -- Dan and Steve -- competing as one of the 8 finalists (they're competing as a team while the others compete separately). Very interesting show... I think the new original episodes air every Sunday night, but there are reruns throughout the week.

I was very dissapointed that Harmony was not eliminated instead of Brook. I also thought Eric did far worse than Brook, but I'm hoping he will eventually get the whole television thing and do well. His cooking seems wonderful. His performance needs work. And while Michael is doing very well, I'd be just as happy if he was badly injured in a bizzare cooking accident. He's really getting on my nerves.

I'm trying to decide who I'm rooting for at this point. Obviously the sentimental favorite is the gay couple. They seem to be very good, but I have to agree with the judges that their personalities are either not coming forward or just aren't that interesting. I suppose a part of it is the fact that none of these people have done television before, but they all seem a bit wooden. The two who seem to have done the best on that front are Sussanah and Deborah. I think I'm pulling for Deborah.

This show is really growing on me. There are definitely not enough episodes though. I can't believe it's only been on for a few weeks and they're already getting ready for the finale next week. Damn. All 4 of the remaining finalists are great. I like Dan and Steve a lot, but Hans has been coming on strong. Kinda sad to see Eric go tonight... great personality and seems like a real nice guy.
