Has anybody seen this show on Bravo? It is funny as hell. The lady that said that her dog bit her on the vagina twice was hilarious.
The gay couple, Brandon and Ryan, are interesting. The jury is still out on whether I like Brandon or not. The way he snapped on Ryan was wrong.

I have watched it and enjoyed. But I have to say I feel very embarrased watching Brandon and Ryan. Once again we are being shown over the top drama qeens as representing a gay couple.
I have been in some big fights in my life. Ones that I wouldn't want filmed. But never over something like that and never so public. I couldn't believe Brandon called the cops over that whole issue.

The people in this show are just damn freaky. I cannot stand ryan and brandon and thier constant fighting. They are such a great people to represent the gay community. I mean you dont see any of the other people on this show really fighting like Bryan and Brandon. Other than the lady who likes her dogs more than her son.

I love dogs and my OES is show material. But I just can't watch the show. None of the people are likable.

I agree with GJ <shock and surprise!>, I love dogs, watch dog shows, but I cannot even watch the commercials for this show. The gay guys are setting back gay relationships years, the rest are so off the wall it is embarrassing. I though "Best in Show" was a bit over the top, but compared to these guys the movie is a bit tame.

Yeah, I try watching it, but it really grates my teeth whenever I see the Mom and her son & the gay couple. All of them freak me out and I have to change the channel to Spike TV.

As someone that actually shows dogs I will say that this show definitely picked out the extremes to represent. Obviously there must be people out that there that act like this but I can honestly say that I have never met them. There doesn't seem to be a normal person on there. The ones I dislike the most are the ones that the husband is a judge and every time they lose he bad mouths whoever the judge was. Let me tell you that he is slitting his own throat in the dog world. He is a nobody and he is bad mouthing some of the most respected judges in the dog world. I too thought Best In Show was a little over the top but funny. This show is just down right tasteless!

But mad mouthing a judge, a ref, an umpire, etc is standard practice in our competitive society. It is instilled in us at an early age. I don't like, but it doesn't bother me much anymore because I see it all the time. Couple days ago I read a sports column that spent its entire time bad mouthing an umpire.
I know someone who shows dogs, and I was suprised at how cut throat and competitive it can be. This person also bad mouths judges, even in events that their dog is not showing. Though they are smart enough not to do it on national television.

Oh it wasn't the bad mouthing that bothered me. There are a lot of people that do that. It was the stupidity of this guy to do it on National Televsion. Most people in the dog show world now think he is a big joke and he very likely will not be asked to judge very many shows after this.

Generally you can only find stupid people to make comments like that on national television. Most smart people know better.
I can see how he shot himself in the foot.
But that being said, I bet a lot of those people who will not be asking him to judge make some of those exact same comments about other judges, just not on national television. Doesn't that end up being a little hypocritical? It is okay to bad mouth as long as it isn't on national television.
It's not just that he did it on national TV, but the fact the he's a judge as well. He has to know that judges shouldn't openly criticize other judges. It's one thing to disagree with placings, but to call someone a damn fool for putting their dog third is idiotic. As a judge, he should know it's all subjective. Slamming another judge is just dumb.
I am addicted to this show. I love it. I work dogs for a living (search & rescue dogs, NOT show dogs) and can get frustrated by the attention show dogs get. (After all, my dog was a 9/11 responder!) I know alot of people just like these guys. Personally, I think the woman with the weimeraner is the craziest (you know how often my dogs cut their pads? At Ground Zero my friend's FEMA-trained search dog actually caught on fire. We doused the fur and continued working.), the show judge is a crazy old fool and do people realize Ryan doesn't work? I mean, he owes Brandon's mother money and his excuse is he isn't driven by money. Not that I can defend Brandon calling the police. Dra-ma! The woman with her son I think is being portrayed to be a bad mom but I really don't think so.

our 6 month old puppies just graduated "puppy kindergarten" and I think the most usefull day was when a lady in class whose dogs name was britnney. said she attacks other dogs and then does this and that and i cant stop her. The dog was one of those fluffy ones with the fur that drags the carpet....trainer said, you treat her like a human, you let her get on the bed etc. you need to ive her rules etc "She is a dog treat her like a dog"
This show just bothers me. ANd i guess it isnt so much the people on the show as the way that they edit it to make these people sound this way. But the gay couple has got to just go away.
Tc what kind of dogs do u use for search and rescue?
I personally just use German shepherds. They are my breed of choice. Shepherds, Labs, Goldens, border collies are the most common breeds used. Mainly, you just need a dog that drives you crazy because it wants to play all the time. (Check out my book SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS: Training the K9 Hero. My dog's (and me - but I'm in a hazmat suit) picture is on p. 225. (Oh, ego check: I'm just one of many contributors to the book, not the sole author.)

Having shown dogs for a few years, the orogram brought back a lot of memories of why i quit showing. The politics, the back stabbing, etc. All of which you only saw a small piece of in this program. You never saw the handlers inserting ginger into the rectum of a dog to keep his top line straight!! Tho you did see the 'judje' powdering around his whippet's backside to conceal unwanted msrkings. As for the 2 gay guys, someone should have told them, it's immaterial how many champions a puppy has in his pedigree. If he had any promise at all, the breeder would never have sold him!! She/he would have kept the puppy for their own breeding program. As for going into the ring stone cold, bloody ignorant, unable to 'stack' or 'gait' a dog and exdpect to win is pure fantasy!! And then bawl your damn eyes out because you came 2nd, for God's sake..... get a life you wimp!!!

 Other than that .... mildly entertaining show LMBO
