After NBC and then ABC dumped the pageant due to low ratings, it's moving to Country Music Television. It's also moving to January, and might be leaving Atlantic City. More traditions bite the dust. wink

JIP,

It's so nice to know you care...Tell us, will you miss the talent or evening wear competition most? We know you won't miss the swimwear! All that silicon and so little nylon.

Sorry, had to razz you..

What do you mean, all that silicon? MY breasts are all-natural, dammit! tongue.gif

If the pageant is moved to January, I would hope they find a new city to host it. Imagine those poor paragons of American beauty strutting around the boardwalk in swim suits and high heels in January!! Anyway, the whole pageant world hasn't been the same since Suzanne Sugarbaker hung up her fire batons for good. wink

And it's on COUNTRY Music Television? Is that because the places where it's still getting ratings are in the South and Midwest?

I say go whole hog on the reality deal. Put all 50 contestants in a house for a month, then kick 25 out. Have the QEftSG folks give the remaining ones a makeover, then have each of them sing a song in front of Simon, Randy and Paula. The final ten put on the swimsuits and/or evening dresses and head out to the deserted island.
