Two people complained that McCartney's performance wasn't racy enough.
The complainants said that the show put on by McCartney was boring and didn't entertain them.
Two other complaints submitted this year centred on a line from Get Back, the 1969 song that was among the four tunes sung by McCartney.
The viewers were upset by the line \"Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona/For some California grass,\" taking it to be a reference to marijuana.
These people need to be stoned...and no, I'm not talking about the kind of stoned you get from California grass!

America's dumbasses...gotta love 'em.

Five people complained about commercials for drugs that treat impotence, and one viewer did not like a Pepsi commercial that featured Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star Carson Kressley looking at a young man walking down the street.
One viewer asked the FCC to remove announcer Joe Buck from the Fox broadcast booth, and two viewers wrote to thank the FCC for what they judged to be a clean show.
In addition, two people submitted complaints this year about last year's duet by Jackson and Timberlake.

Take pity on the people who have nothing better to do than call the FCC. They're the same people who are so lonely they keep telemarketers in business.

Amazing the frequency with which we are presented with more folks who need to be added to the People Who Should Be Shot thread, aka Best Thread Ever!

Didn't they release a report that all the calls that are coming into the FCC are coming from like the same 50 people. Some group that only wants Little House on the Prairie, and The Waltons to be on TV.
Well except that special episode when Mary-Ellen got her "special friend".

I saw a hilarious article prior to the Super Bowl advising McCartney on lyrics that need to be changed before they can be sung at half time. For example, I Saw Her Standing There begins
Well she was just seventeen
You know what I mean
Article suggested he'd better say she was 18. Or to be safe, 21.

I'd have to quit my job to have the time needed to add all those deserving to be added to said thread.

We had the game on at the bar and as the first half was winding down I said to the other bartender that we should have had a "Hottest Nipple" contest that night in honor of Nipplegate the year before. It could have been a fun idea!

Thanks for the good laugh, George. I am sitting here with a thermometer in my mouth because I feel like crap.

I needed that!

The blockheads that complained about the lyrics to Get Back probably missed the gender confusion of Sweet Loretta too. Tools. I suspect Macca picked that song as kind of a middle finger to the FCC-complainer types who were happy that he was such a "safe" choice. He was, but he still got a jab in, I think. Still, he could have done Got to Get You In To My Life which is about smoking dope.
