Did anyone else catch Oprah today? It was a home makeover show with a Chicago designer named Nate Burkus(sp?) What a hottie!!!! Don't know if he's gay, he's not exhibiting any major stereotypes but he is an interior designer for god sake (LOL). Either way he's great to look at. Any of you Chicagoans know anything about him. Apparently he's in the current issue of Chicago magazine. Hope it's on sale here in Minneapolis.

Okay, a quick google search (I'm not obsessive or anything) found the the correct spelling is Berkus and that he is originally from Hopkins,MN just a few (less than 10 miles)from where I live.
And perhaps I'm the last one to have heard of him. Apparently he has made quite a name for himself and has been on Oprah previous to today.
By the way his bios make no mention of a wife, hmmmmmmm. . . . . . I can dream.

Yes, Nate is a major stud. I almost entered him in our King of the Hardwood competition. There's actually been several thread on him in the past (seems like everytime he appears on Oprah). I think my favorite Nate makeover was the one where he remodeled this woman's 365sf apartment. My other favorite was when he did two rooms using only items purchased at eek! Wal-Mart eek!

Couldn't agree with you more...He didn't really beep for me, but probably the hottest moment of the show was when the husband lifted Nate up and said, "Let's try out the bed." Then carried him to the new bed where he fell on top of him. I sat up going, "Oh my gawd." Even Oprah was a bit shocked going, "Okay...Okay...Okay." eek! My words exactly.

This is Nate. I saw him on yesterday's repeat episode. OH MY GOSH! He speaks well, dresses well, knows what he is talking about, and is absolutely adorable -- and he's NOTHING like Ricky Martin. I think I'm in love. Sigh.

Yes, it was the episode with Ty (Nate had to call him to help with a project--how convenient that Nate knew Ty's number without having to look it up!) and Ty's book (TY'S TRICKS) was introduced with a photo of him shirtless in a pair of jeans getting soaked in the shower (the photo is on the back of the book). I think it's a repeat but it's still worth seeing Nate again.
I watched Friday's episode. All of you were right. Nate is cute, has a great smile and laugh, and has a very pleasant demeanor.

Sorry dude I misread the meaning behind the not news part..... My friends have given me a new nickname, Mr Crankypants.... guess I should look before I leap, and think before I speak. Hell, this morning alone I pulled a Lizzy Grubman and called some dumb girl white trash in the local deli, at least I didn't drive my Range Rover into her, although I don't think my little Jag would do much damage to her sInce she has an ass the size of Connecticut.
