I found a very cool website:

http://www.visionsfantastic.com

It has lots of info about the theme parks, but what is really fun is that it has full-length videos of most of the rides, shows, and parades at Disneyland. For instance, you can see all of the Haunted Mansion and Pirates, as well as the Main Street Electrical Parade and the jaw-dropping (at least live) Fantasmic! Live is always better than video, but it's pretty fun to watch these clips.

Ah, memories.

I LOVE DISNEY!! I would be joining two of my sisters in Orlando this weekend, except we leave for France on Friday. It's a total blast to go for Gay Days, too. I can't wait until Expidition Everest opens at Animal Kingdom!

ESPN The Weekend at Disney-MGM Studios. Talk about that corporate synergy! wink

MiamiSpartan, I agree with you. I LOVE DISNEY! I remember my first trip to Disneyland back in the 70s. My all-time favorite is Pirates and Space Mountain. I didn't visit the Walt Disney World resort until 1990 but I fell in love with. One of my friends knew someone that used to work as Prince Charming in the parades. You can imagine how hot he must have looked!!! He also told me that gay guys working as Prince Charmings at the Disney parks aren't unusual but some of them keep their sexuality private, which makes perfect sense to me. I finally visited Disneyland Paris last April. Their Space Mountain ride is probably one of the best roller coasters I've ever ridden, second only to the Hulk coaster at Islands of Adventures.

Oh man, I used to work at WDW in Florida...in Tomorrowland doing merchandise when I was getting my MA degrees....outdoors...in July! lol Boy could I tell stories...what a crazy place! But I must say working there has cured me of any significant desire to return, though I wouldn't sniff over a trip back there is my hubby ever wanted to go (he, however, hates amusement parks, so....) But I have to say that Splash Mountain is my favorite ride of any kind in the world...I love that ride! And I do know where ALL the hidde Mickeys in the Magic Kingdom are (well, I used to anyway....) (And guys, never try out any shenanigans while riding that ride...big brother is watching, trust me!) I remember during my training I was paired up for two days with a new hiree who was hired to play the Prince Charming character...he was handsome (but not my type at all) but so damn full of himself that we all called him Prince Not-so-Charming...

But for any guy who goes, you should know, gay days or not, the best make-out place if you justhave to steal some face time with your hubby is at the tail end of the SkyWay ride opposite the back of Ursa's Major Minor Mart (where I worked at least 50% of the time...) Right next to a little garden. Used to catch a lot of couples making out there, especially guys...one time, I remember I was re-stocking some paraphenalia and these 3 twelve-year-old girls wearing T-shirts that identified them as belonging to a Southern Baptist church tugged on my sleeve and asked me why those two guys were kissing over there...man...I did not want to explain homosexuality to three refugees from a Baptist group! So I convinced them to join me in a chorus of "Under the Sea" and by the time we were done, the guys were gone...whew! (True story!) Good thing this gay guy is good with musicals!

Ah, those were the days..... biggrin.gif

I went to Disney World in FLA for Thanksgiving with my family and had a blast - had not been in probably 15 years and so much had changed, but so much was still the same. Awesome, ready to go back again.
