A great weekend for Sox fans! They take two of three from the Loser cubs, and then pick up Freddi Garcia from the Mariners. I do hate giving up Jeremy Reed, tho....

Are you a White Sox fan or are you just being kind?

They do have a strong pitching staff, but are going to have to push to get past Cleveland, or post a better WC record than Boston or Anaheim.

Cleveland isn't going anywhere, FT. They don't have what it takes to win the division. The Twins, on the other hand, do. I also don't think the White Sox pitching staff is good, even with the acquisition of Garcia.

If the Sox only had a good bullpen, they could be quite impressive. As it is, they have a potent offense but little else.

The Sox are awful. Just plain awful, Miami. They're pathetic. You take a 5-3 lead into the 9th, have two outs to go to win the game, and you f**king lose the thing!

Mark my word: The Sox will NEVER, EVER, win a thing as long as Reinsdork is the owner and Williams is the GM. They both suck--Ozzie, too!

Chicago Sun-Times sports columnist and WMVP-AM 1000 ESPN Radio (Chicago's ESPN Radio Station) host Jay Mariotti was recently fired by WMVP because Reinsdork didn't like him.

I don't necessarily like Mariotti mainly because he's too inconsistent. One day he's an optimist and complimenting teams here, the next day after they lose, he's blasting them. He changes positions more than a politician does. However, he has been consistent in his criticism of Reinsdork, vehemently so, and I applaud him for that. I also agree with Jay in his criticisms of Reinsdork, whom he has skewered lately.

WMVP is the flagship station of the Bulls and White Sox. Guess who owns the Bulls and Sox? Reinsdor, of course. The teams' contract with the station expired and was up for renewal. As was reported in the local press here, Reinsdork told WMVP officials that he didn't like Mariotti and wanted him fired before he'd entertain re-upping with the station. So, they obliged and fired Jay. (His station contract was coming up for renewal coincidentally at the same time.) His newspaper column is unaffected.

How typical of Reinsdork. Jay was right. Sell the team and divest it from all your buddy investors. You don't give a rat's ass about winning anyway.

Won't that man just die already?
