My googles normally do not get knocked off..My head is between my arms, my chin tucked in, and my focus on the water beneath me. But then again my googles are pretty tight.......

For the life of me I can't figure out how having your head between your arms protects your googles ... the only trouble I've ever had with googles comes when my Explorer is out of date or is crashing. Of course, not all google services seem to work equally well on my Macs. I haven't quite rigured out maps yet either.

When I first started diving my goggles would also come off on entry. Until I got used to entering properly so they would not come off, I used a little trick to help me out. I always wore bathing cap and would pull the cap about 1/3 way over the goggles. Upon entry the cap would roll back but the goggles stayed intact. Don't know if it would work for you but it worked for me.

Okay just to revive this thread, and do a little bragging......
The Provincial rankings came out, and I got top ten rankings in the Province, in the 50 Breastroke and 100 breastroke, for my age group. I had taken about a total of a year off of training, and had only been back a few weeks when I swam these times.
Okay bragging done..thanks for reading.

"Good on ya," Rick! Let's see, I do my 1Km free-breast workout in about ... 20 minutes?
But I love every wet minute of it!
BTW, here's a great site for finding pools to swim in when you travel:
Swimmersguide.com I didn't see Summerville listed there; maybe you could update the list?

Thanks GMG, and I see you saw my response in the other thread, about the pool, where you had that Speedo conversation.
From what I can see from the listings on that website, those all appear to be indoor pools that are listed, so you can swim year round. Summerville is only open in the summer season.
Glad to see that you are enjoying being wet and 20 minutes for a km is nothing to scoff at!
I will not mention how far I swam yesterday.

Kudos! You've earned bragging rights! Maybe the gold medal can be your avatar.

Thanks guys....
Hmm GMG, MR.Rick, eh? I am thinking I am liking that.....
Did any one see the women's 400M medley relay time, posted from Shanghai, at the World Championships this weekend? World record smashed by the Aussies? Was it a long or short meters course?

I believe that the Championships are in short course 25 meters.

I read that and found the info. It was in 25 metres.
The Australian women beat the world record 4x100 IM in 3:51:84. (old record 3:54:95)
There was also another record broken that day. Ryan Lochte in the 200 metres IM in 1:53:31.
