You forgot to add "this year".

Hummm, I wonder if Florida came out on the field during the championship trophy presentation? Remember, last year, Texas stayed huddled in the lockerroom crying in their towels during the championship award presentation. Sore losers when they are losers.

Funny about this...a lot of people were angry that the tower was not lighted orange last night. smile.gif One family said they drove "all the way in from Dripping Springs". In other words, they came from about 20 miles away. You'd have thought they rode on horse and buggy to get to Austin. What a bunch of crybabies! They are supposed to light it orange tonight. I guess having it orange two nights in a row would confuse a lot of people. Who cares.

I am a fan of only one orange UT and it's the one with the bigger football standium, the newer baseball stadium, the winningest basketball coach, and the one that doesn't have to remind their fans to come early and stay late...and wear orange. smile.gif

I think he must be referring to Auburn fans when we visited Knoxville in 2004, because we definitely stayed late. The Tennessee folks left during the 3rd quarter.

Want to see a mass exodus, then you should come to a Texas game...you're lucky if you can get the alumni to cross the street from the alumni center to watch any of the second half! I've gone to many Texas games and was amazed with the view of empty seats on the West side from my seat on the East side of the stadium.

Gov. Adios MoFo was shown on the news last night giving the Hook 'em Horns sign when he met the baseball players at the Capitol. I wonder what his fellow Aggies think of him doing that?

Okay, now, where were we? Oh yeah, Clemson Tigah said-

I'll talk all day about college baseball.
As well you need to. You can start by explaining your catcher's behavior at the Cocks-Taters game last Saturday, prior to his being ejected (and appropriately so). In case you didn't catch it, or wasn't there, or aren't following your (ahem) "top-ranked" team, he was spinning around in a circle at home plate, flailing his arms up and down, yelling and screaming at the ump and throwing his mitt in the dirt. Sounds like Jack's done a hell of a job teaching his junior-college transfers good ol' Tater sportsmanship.

wink

Incidentally, Neil Giesler is denying allegations that he is on the juice. He's just kicking some serious ass. I'm talking .514. And this weekend we have Quinnipiac, which is like a pretty good team apparently. Alot better than Mercer, Tigah.

I saw a clip of the catcher's tirade on tigernet and it was a little out of line. However, he WAS interfered with by dumbass mark stanley and the horse's ass of an umpire was too f**king blind to see it!

Let's talk sportsmanship. Go back to the 2002 CWS. Michael Johnson strikes out for the third time and Ray "Barney Rubble" Tanner's classy players in the dugout all put their hats on the top of the steps to signify a so-called hat trick. Yes, USuCk did beat us and went to the finals, but Texas rolled 'em. Karma's a bitch!

You went to Wake, so what is your fascination with the yardbirds, and why do you say "we" when talking about them. You've apparently been drinking the same kool-aid the rest of their masochistic, delusional supporters have. tongue.gif
Frank Bruno
My dual fascination will be explained in the eight-pages long Story Of My Life response to your message, which resembled the ramblings of a deeply disturbed and highly delusional creature. Aside from that, no one can argue that Adrian Casanova's rant was caused by a) the fact that he is called Adrian Casanova, and cool.gif a random desire to imitate Cocky the Gamecock Mascot by attempting to flap his arms and fly in front of 1500 people.

Now on to this season. Yeah, the Clemson Tigers look good. (And how - who the f**k is that shortstop? Good grief) But the fact is that the Yardcox are YOUNG, and talented, and we have Will Atwood. And Justin Smoak & Reese Havens are some serious atheletes. We have a lot to learn, and we're getting better. Oh yeah, and Neil Giesler is GOD.

Tigah, I hereby invite you to the Cocks-Tigers baseball game on April 5 at Sarge Frye. I have an extra ticket and I will gladly put you up at the Fantasy Motor Inn on I-20 and exit 56. HEE HEE! So buy 2 tickets to the Clemson-USC game April 12. I will gladly make the trip so I can publicly humiliate you after you get stifled by our pitching.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a 3 game series to get ready for.
ClemsonTigah
Yes, enjoy your series with Quinnipiac, a baseball power if there ever was one. Meanwhile, we're hosting a good opponent (#25 Kansas) from a great baseball conference. Come to Doug Kingsmore Stadium and see what a non-conference series is supposed to look like.
Frank Bruno
The Quinnipiac team was actually pretty damn good last year. They won their conference, made it to the regionals (lost to Texas - no shame there), and last night hit back-to-back homers on consecutive pitches. They still lost. Our freshmen are freshmen, but they are good. And none of them are transfers from DeVry Institute or Trident Tech. Have fun with Kansas - but you have a whole lot more to worry about than them. Georgia Tech had a test against Virginia this weekend, and there's the Other Carolina. Even Wake is ranked now. The ACC is tough.

How 'bout those Jayhawks???!!? SSSSH... I think I hear something dropping.

Yes, KU did beat us on Saturday, but we came back today to take the series 2-1. Kansas has some quality pitchers and will do well in the Big 12 and should be ranked most of the year.

Congrats to your schlongs on sweeping perennial CWS contender Quinnipiac. It's a proud day when you beat the fighting quinnies. You made earlier remarks about them making last year's regionals and losing to Texas being no great shame. True that, however, the score was 20-2. They then got eliminated by Miami by a score of 35-8. (It should be pointed out I'm talking about Miami of Ohio , not the Hurricanes!) So, two games and out by a combined score of 55-10. Gotta LOVE Tanner's scheduling practices!

Oh, and the only thing dropping will be USuCk's players to their knees like all good bitches should! tongue.gif

I thought I'd revive this thread, since it's doubtful any Texas fans will be doing so this year. Oregon State is the only team from last year that has the chance to return to Omaha in 2006. (Correction: OSU is on the way to Omaha. I only now checked last night's score to see they downed Stanford.)

If Miami defeats Ole Miss today, the ACC will have four teams in the field. Has any single conference ever had five or more? I know the SEC West also had four in '97.

Although my beloved Texas Longhorns didn't succeed this year, I was happy to see Rice defeat Oklahoma. Anytime any Texas team beats Oklahoma is a happy time. biggrin.gif

And fortunately, Texas is happy quite a bit...

I'll be rooting for Rice vs. Georgia. Rivalry trumps conference.

I'm picking the winner of UNC vs. Fullerton as the eventual champ.

Doesn't the Outsports board have a few UNC fans? Better get on the bandwagon before it's too late. The championship series is this weekend. smile.gif

Congrats to Oregon State. Still since 1955 for the ACC ...
