Full Version: Mike Tyson Wins-But Who Cares?

Coming under the category of "If a Tree Falls in the Woods, but Nobody is Around to Hear It":

Mike Tyson scored a seventh round TKO over Brian Nielsen of Denmark. His nicknames are The Great Dane or Danish Pastry. Okay, too many easy ones here. He's about as coordinated as a Great Dane! Or Maybe his nickname should be Great Dame! Or it looks like his training meals were nothing but Danish Pastry! Ok enough with the Borscht Belt schtick.

Seriously though, what the hell has happened to boxing. I remember as a kid when Ali or Frazier or Foreman or whoever happened to be the champ fought it was a major deal. Now I know Tyson isn't the champ right now, but he is certainly one of boxing's biggest draws. Boxing seems to be one step away from Professional Wrestling credibilty-wise. And judging by the condition of Nielsen, the wrestlers are certainly better athletes!

So the question is this-Can boxing be saved? Will America ever care again? Any boxing experts who can help us out here?

Boxing is such a waste...i used to love it during the old days of tyson. since he lost to buster boxing has become a joke. ( ok some might argue it was ajoke back then too but at least he was a kick ass fighter) There are a few good fights here and there, ( tyson-evander 1 was at least fun ) a nd a few middle weight fights were good but over all i dont bother with boxing anymore.

man in the paper you could see the german dudes blubber flying around..hes like a white tony tubbs.
