Prep football player dies

New Providence, N. J. _ A New Providence High School football player died Monday, two days after he underwent emergency brain surgery following his collapse on the sideline during a game, a hospital official said.

Morristown Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Kim Accardo did not release a cause of death for John O'Neill.

If I'm not mistaken I believe this now totals three high school football players who have died in the past TWO WEEKS immediately following their participation in a game....another truly tragic story in all respects, especially involving teenagers with their whole life ahead of them....my heart goes out to the family and friends of these young men.
