Over the past month here in Oz we have had report after report about AFL players alledgedly raping women. The AFL commission in its stupid rush to be seen to "do the right thing" asked for any women who has been mistreated by a player to come forward with their story.

I could come up with something that resembles misconduct by a player if I distorted the facts enough.

I'm just wondering about other countries and sports, are you finding the same issues popping there ugly head up?

Tess, do you know of the Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers basketball star) case here in the US? A 19 (?) year old accuses him of rape and it has been in legal procedings for months. No one else has ocme forward to accuse him, and there seems to be no major rush of cases, but everynow and then there does seem to be a number of them in the news. And given this countries fascination with celebrity, it's always in the news. I ask, Who cares? Just give me the verdict.

Also, we seem to have a lot of athletes who commit murder in the news.

There are a steady number of cases involving college athletes. The stories about the University of Colorado come to mind, but there have been plenty of others over the years.

Whats happening is we are getting all these complaints being issued, http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common/st...255E661,00.html The AFL is trying to hard to be the good corporate citizen instead of just allowing the Police to handle any complaints. Mind you now Police are re-looking into any reports made over the past 5 years against AFL players.
