Im seeing more and more gay wrestling fans come out of the closet that you actually like pro wrestling recently

Maybe we need to form up a gay fans club. There are a lot of us out there, not just on Outsports.

Im almost 26 yrs old and have been a fan for the better part of 18 years. Im sure some of you are the same, or just started watching.

No I dont consider pro wrestling a sport. But I do think its more than just entertainment. The athleticism involved and the pain involved makes something more than American Gladiators or fictional sitcoms ever could be.

I think we should leave the discussions in "Other Sports" because its more associated with reality than not. Hell, at least they admit to scripting the outcome of the match, unlike boxing. And it even used to be considered a real sport until recent times.

But if you all are interested Im going to start a seperate gay wrestling fan site atGay WWE Fans Site for all those who are interested in making comments and enjoying the show! Spread the word guys.

Whenever I've watched WWE wrestling, I've been entertained. I don't get to watch very much because I work nights. I have several, straight, friends who enjoy it a great deal and follow it closely. The closest of those friend refers to it as a soap opera for men, and I think that's very apt. Many of the participants are extremely fine tuned athletes, able to do things to their bodies that I really didn't consider possible. The stories are over the top, but no more so than your average weekday soap, full of deceit, sex, machinations, sex, lying, sex, cheating (mostly sex) and some sex.

this was on the TODAY show this morning. Matt Lauer interviewing Billy and Buck (names???) who are tag team partners and will have their commitment ceremony to each other in tonight's "Smackdown"? The kicker was... these guys are hot, oil each other down etc. but also have portrayed themselves in a very (as much as possible given the venue) positive portrayal of gay men. GLAAD has even come out in suport of them and sent a gravy bowl as a wedding gift (registered at Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma. How gay is that?)

anybody gonna watch? wrestling just aint my thang.

Oops. I started a new thread about this, in Gays in Sports...
DallasUNC
It does come on in 30 mins on UPN this evening and I will be watching it closely. I already got the scoop on the Billy and Chuck "wedding" this afternoon, since it was taped Tuesday.
I kind of have a problem with GLAAD being positive about this. Its rather hypocritical when they were so antagonistic against WCW a few yrs back when they had a "gay" tag team.
I am going to work on an update to my original May 1st story Pro Wrestlings Closet

Oh and for those trying to register when using my msg board,, all you need to do is post once and it should automatically register you.

Please post any comments on the so-called "WWE Commitment Ceremony" to the
appropriate thread. Thanks
