Dedicated to talking about baseball in the Southeastern Conference
HottyToddyRebel
Well, baseball is starting to heat-up (in the standings and temperature wise) in the SEC. I think it's time we start talking about it.

First, I gotta give props to Ole Miss freshman, Alex Presley. He hadn't had a hit in his last 12-15 games and was even pulled from the starting center position this weekend. On friday night, he got sent-in in the ninth after the starting center "tweaked" his hamstring and got a walk-off two run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning. Today, he hit another 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Rebs a 4-3 lead. He only has 4 HR's on the season and two of them have been game winning HR's in the last two days.

Hey Vols fans: Your team has played great the last two days and I look forward to tomorrow. While I would love a sweep tomorrow, good luck to you all for the rest of the season!

Swayze Field? Is it named after Patrick or Don?

SWAYZE FIELD

Upon completion in 1989, the new Ole Miss baseball field was fittingly named Swayze Field in honor of Tom Swayze, one of the great legends in Ole Miss history. A three-year letterman in baseball at Ole Miss, Swayze later became head coach of the Ole Miss program. During his 21-year tenure at the helm of Ole Miss from 1950-1971, Swayze compiled a 361-201-2 record, which gives him the best winning percentage in school history. Swayze led Ole Miss to three NCAA College World Series appearances and four SEC Championships.
