The 7th annual "Jock-Jump" is to be held as usual on the Sat. before Theanksgiving at the U. of Florida in Tallahassee, probably at the track and field stadium. Oympians, decathletes and other top-name men come there from all over the U.S. to compete in pole vaulting and other track&field events, while clad only in athletic shoes and jock-straps. There are some women who compete, but in less revealing attire or serve as cheerleaders. This way men and women, straight and gay can attend without feling conspicuous.

I could send three pics of the event that I found on the web, but don't know how to send them HERE. The men are really muscular and athletically-built. Like most male athletic "exposure" these days, whether in pro wrestling, bodybuilding and now college sports, it comes across as cute, innocent, statuesque, honorable, good-natured all-American fun. There is even an award given for the athlete with the hairiest A$$ among other things. After all, "Boys will be boys", and the art of "mooning" is as old an American tradition as apple pie.
The event is sponsored by the decathletes and other members of the U. of Florida track team. Their slogan is, "There will be a full moon tonight!".
I'm surprised that there has ben so little "coverage" (no pun intended) of the six past events. The whole thing needs to be taped. photos, videos etc. would prove to be VERY popular among both men and women. I can't go and do it. i hope that somebody else can.
