Has anyone seen the ESPN program "Pardon the Interruption" where two sportswriters will go eye to eye discussing various topics in the world of sports and sometimes non-sports related stuff. For each topic they are given a certain amount of time to blurt out their opinions, which makes the show so entertaining. I think this program is so well done. They'll use different sportswriters, some who can make you laugh when they playfully insult one another. I love their expressions as they race to beat the timer. Good stuff.

I think it's way better than the boring "Best Damn Sports Show Period". With their big butts tucked into their recliners we have a spacy John Kruk taking up space and a classless Tom Arnold spitting in your face. Whoopee. And John Salley? I find myself waiting and waiting for him to say something funny. Never happens. This show does nothing for me.

Any opinions on these two programs?

The main hosts of PTI are Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon. Personally I find the show and the hosts rather obnoxious so I don't watch it much.

And I will NOT under ANY circumstances watch a show with the most untalented man in show business, Tom Arnold.

I've been watching from day 1!!! I love PTI. And it really only works with Wilbon and Kornheiser. This summer when they had a bunch of different hosts to cover for vacations and suspensions, it wasn't nearly as good. But it is appointment television for me.

I used to work out at that time, and it was a great show for the treadmill/stair machine. I became an addict though, and now TiVo it every night. I don't always watch it, but it's a great option when you already know everything SportsCenter is going to tell you.

And I agree, it works best with the regular hosts. The guest hosts were often more well-spoken, but it's the chemistry between Kornheiser and Wilbon that makes it work.

I also agree that they're obnoxious, but that's what makes it fun. Isn't everyone who loves sports obnoxious when they get fired up talking about it?

Yep, it is Kornheiser and Wilbon who have definitely caught my attention. I love Kornheiser's spontaneous expressions and one-liners. Michael Wilbon is great too. His obnoxiousness is kind of attractive.

And yes I agree Joe in Philly. There's nothing more annoying than Tom Arnold. Does he have a nervous twitch or something? He's constantly shaking and bouncing up and down in his chair like an immature kid.

I'm not!

Obnoxious might not be the right word for them. That's a better description for someone like Kenny Mayne on Sportscenter. The PTI guys just grate on me.
