:confused: Is anyone else as shocked as I was when Penske released Jeremy Mayfield? Anyone heard where he's going for the rest of the season or next year ?

Not really surprised here. He was having an absolutely horrendous season and just wasn't living up to expectations. Plus from what i have heard from friends is that there is alot of conflict between him and rusty who is his teammate. This is probably as much as rustys doing as any one else. As of right now Mayfield is with out a ride for next season but my guess is it won't be for long.

Some other moves already this year:
Skinner from the 31 to the 4
Spencer from the 26 to the 01 (rumored)
Lapage from the 4 to the 7

Jeremy will end up with a good ride. The biggest rumours for him right now say that Richard Childress is interested in him for the 31, and the Ray Evernham wants him to either replace Bill Elliott (who is rumored to be retiring) or drive for a third team.

I think that Elliott isn't retiring, so maybe the third team thing isn't so far fetched.
