Chris, I just read the story about you featured on OutSports (my computer was being repaired for five weeks). The part that intrigued me was the fact that you have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I want to commend you for your courage on facing this illness. I, too, have been diagnosed with mood and personality disorders, and am starting to move forward with my life. I was accepted into Temple University's Journalism Program for next fall, and am holding down a part-time job...it's lasted two weeks, which has been my longest stretch of employment since 2003.
Question...some of your earlier posts seemed frantic. If you don't mind my asking, were you manic when posting those messages? I ask because I have done the same thing. The difference between your previous messages and the ones now is much improved. There's more clarity and coherence with the current ones, so your work is paying off. If you ever want to talk (lame excuse for me to talk to you some more

), and maybe you can tell me how you managed to overcome the challenge. It would provide inspiration for myself and others who face mental illness. Let me know...thanks.
