I know there are some other Spartans out there in Outsports land. The school is having quite a productive Fall.
The football team is performing better than expected. (Oh, to KO the Wolverines yet again this weekend!)
The soccer teams did well during their seasons.
The Field Hockey team is rated 6th in the country and won the Big Ten season title. (Big Ten tournament is this weekend.)
The Cross Country teams are rated (the women quite highly), and placed 1st (women) and 3rd (men) this past weekend at the Big Ten Championships.
The volleyball team is not having a banner year, but is in the mix.
I can only hope that our winter sports teams (go Spartan hockey) can keep the trend going. First time I can remember where so many teams were performing well at the same time.

Spartans are making a name for themselves this year and once again will be found near the top of the sears cup standings (a second in 99 and a top 10 finish in 00)! Lets hope for another banner year from both our hockey (another frozen four hopefully) and our Basketball teams (another sweet 16 sure would be nice). The Green and White sure have things looking good their in Michigan. Underwood has done some great things there as the AD and hopefully we will continue to grow as both an academic and athletic institution.
I'm not sure if any other spartans on this board ever visit the sight Mlive and their forums but from what i have gathered their this weekend is a huge recruiting weekend with 15 to 20 nationally recruited players making an official visit to watch MSU knock off the most overrated school. The atmosphere surronding campus this weekend should be a great selling point to many of these recruits. Will discuss more on MSU later but for now haven't alot of time -- need to get all my green and white ready for my return trip to the greatest campus in the nation. GO GREEN!! GO WHITE!!

Charlie--
Thanks for the field hockey mention!

Michele is having a great season and did win the regular season title...I'm looking forward to seeing them play this Saturday. And I can promise you I'll be rooting for them--Go Green! Go White! (even if they are playing the Hawks--just don't tell anyone there!)
