Wahoooo! Tooting my own horn, I made the top ten in Canada for my age group, in Masters swimming. I am currently ranked 8th in the 800 Freestyle.

Okay back to work, and other serious stuff......like posting on this board

Way to go, Ricko! I swim Masters here in SF and am going to start competing again after I turn 50 next month. I was in Tronno back in '90 and had a great swim at a really nice 50m outdoor pool near a park SE of downtown. Can't remember the name but I remember the water was as cold as ice - just the way I like it! There were also some cute gayboys hanging around the deck and we struck up a conversation after they gave me grief about my TYR suit. Good luck in the pool!

Was it the 50 (actually 49.9) meter pool on the beaches. The pool actually has 3 pools, one for children, the 49.9 meter on and the Diving well, complete with a 10 meter diving platform. I train in this pool during the summer, with a straight masters team. Beautiful pool.

Good luck with the swimming, hope to see you at the IGLA competition in San fran next year.

Yeah, I do remember it being near a beach, which was closed due to pollution! It was also somewhat elevated as I recall and there was a diving platform. I hear you on training with straight Masters teams; it can be a definite incentive!

CONGRATS!!! Rickinto, thats quite an accomplishment. You should be very proud. I love to swim too, but can't on that level. Hope you go on to win many more. If you get a break from swimming anytime, come down to Oklahomo and toot my horn.
