From Glenn Hauser's World of Radio, one of those dorky radio websites I hang around at. Scroll way down almost to the bottom.

Sports fans in North Carolina ... have a new station to listen to. WBHE in Charlotte began broadcasting on 1660 kHz [AM] on December 1. Part of the time the station is relaying WFNZ Charlotte NC on 610 kHz, but partly programming is separate. The station has been heard identifying as WBHE, but according to Operations Manager Donald Stout, call letters will be changed as early as next week.

\"We are very excited to be able to give our listeners a chance to hear us throughout the metro area. It is amazing what we have been able to do with 610 AM and the additional frequency will only enhance that success,\" Stout says on the station website.
....

[The station's] snail mail [address is] WFNZ, 1520 South Boulevard, Suite 300, Charlotte, NC 28203-3701, U.S.A., and the station can also be contacted by telephone +1-704-319-9369

Yeah, I think it is great that SportsTalk 980 launched Sportstalk 1260. But, I wish it wasn't such a weak signal. I remember trying to find anyone with a radio in my office that could pick up 1260 during Game 1 of the Yankees/Twins series back in October, and nobody could get it. Alas, I am still stuck with 3 hours of Tony Kornheiser. Sports radio stations are like jazz stations--you need a major booster just to pick it up in the next zip code.

"Weak signal" - tell me about it. I think it's a 5,000 watt station, but it might as well be on Mars. I can barely get it.
