Any other wrestlers or fans in EIWA/EWL territory?

An excellent photographer and wrestler built some sites. She competes in bigtime meets and takes pix there, but is someplace in Ivy League so more East Coast action.

Hi beetarmee: Danielle Hobeika was on the Harvard wrestling team, and graduated last year. She worked out with the team and wrestled with some of the lower weight guys in practice. Said "The guys are great. It's like having thirty brothers!" She got to compete whenever the team travelled to a tournament that had a women's division, and did quite well. But mostly she took pictures, including just about everything on the Harvard team site. Last I heard she has a job in California, and is trying to develope women's wrestling out there.

I think the folk-styler in the maroon singlet is the divine Luke Becker (157, Minnesota).

Not from Danielle's site, but:
some links are
worth repeating...

PS: Anyone interested in learning about some of the basic moves in this sport might enjoy the "Technique Illustration" section. These two are from the single-leg takedown series with Cael Sanderson:

Danielle Hobeika's website is http://www.daniellehobeika.com and she has a lot of other wrestling photos on there (I think most of them are also on the Harvard site).

She graduated Harvard in 2001 and now she's working at Princeton but still doing a lot of freelance photography, especially for the www.amateurwrestlingphotos.com site. there are a lot of her photos from princeton meets at http://www.PUwrestling.com/photos.html . She took 2nd at the US women's nationals this past year and is on the US women's national team.

Thanks for the links and the Danielle update, SportsFanatik, and welcome to the board. Are you a women's wrestling fan? I haven't seen anything at the college level yet, but did check out a few matches in the high school girls division at Lone Star Duals last year. The Texans (bless their hearts) are introducing wrestling state-wide at the highschool level, for both boys AND girls.

Can't get enough of that site. It seems pretty busy cause some times it's slow loading. So I got some direct links of a few interesting shots.
