At this point, it's not worth worrying about Roger getting win 300 or not. Yes, I'd prefer that he didn't, but he will. Given the choice, I'd like a World Series win for the Sox.
It has been far more galling that Clemens couldn't get the job done for the Sox (remember who started the infamous Sixth Game), yet has two championships with the Yankees.

Didn't Clemens leave Game 6 with a 3-2 lead? Ain't his fault the Sox lost.

Blaming Clemens for Game 6 would be even more ludicrous than scapegoating Bill Buckner ... I've heard for years that he was upset at being pulled by John McNamara (who joined with Davey Johnson in making '86 the worst-managed Series I ever saw ... at least until Arizona managed to win in spite of Bob Brenly).
