Just read that he tore something in his foot, so will miss Madrid, Basel (the one besides the French that he REALLY wants to win) and probably Paris Indoors.
They said he could be back to defend the Masters Cup. I hope so-with his year, I want the best to be there and defend!

Wow this really sucks. I'm sure Nadal ain't complaining as I'm sure everyone else is, but this sucks as there is no chance for a potential Nadal/Federer match and improves Nadal's chances to win it, and really opens up that half of the draw Federer would have been seeded at Madrid.

Say it ain't so. I was just going down the topics list and saw this, and had immediate shock. Not Federer. And playerten, you have to post a link to what you've read, you can't jus throw this information out there and leave us to find it ourselves. Now my sleep will be restless worrying over Roger.

Don't worry. He'll still come back for the year-end championships and kick everyone's ass.

See also where Hewitt has had toe surgery. Don't know if he is going to Masters Cup, or will play further Masters Series events, but I guess with the birth of his fist child in 6 weeks he could also be in doubt.
