Hey JoeinPhilly -

Thinkin' about driving up to the Vet for the Red Sox games the weekend of the 20th. Don't know what the deal is with Gay Day, but want to see if any of the Outsports Philly contigent wants to go.

And what's the deal with getting tix? Is it a problem, need I plan early (like now)?

And will the underplaying Phils find their stroke in time?

It's a salute to the 80s weekend as part of the final year of the Vet. Friday and Sunday are bobblehead giveaways of Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton. My brother told me last night that he just got tickets for those two games (I had gotten mine earlier) and they're way up in the upper deck so they're nearly sold out. If you're interested in those games, don't hesitate -- (215) 463-1000, or go to phillies.com to order online.

The Saturday afternoon game features an 80s Alumni Batting Practice Challenge. I guess it's not a Home Run Derby because they don't expect many home runs from guys who are 45 years old and up biggrin.gif My guess is there should still be a fair number of tickets available for that game, and since I don't yet have a ticket for Saturday I'd be available if any of the others want to try and do a mini-gathering....phillyrunner? scottie? (Actually, scottie hasn't posted recently either--maybe he ran off with Seph? eek! ) Or if you want to meet up sometime during that weekend, let me know.

It's easy to do that when it's 107 outside... Temps dip way down to 100 at 10pm. NICE cooling trend this week... blah.

And philly trips are reserved STRICTLY for Iggle games.
