The response to our French Open poll was fantastic! Hopefully, the 4th of July holiday break won't lead to a dip in the response rate...

again a lot of responses to the poll-congrats B Man.
I wonder if curtj is snickering at the fact that four people have each said of Serena and Andy :
ooooverrated.

nope. that's not it. how could you call either of them over rated? if either were to walk away from tennis right now, not only would they be sorely missed on tour, they'd already be walking away with successful careers. and there's no way either of them is done winning slams.
nope. it's another result that made my morning.
Well, oddly, although I expect Serena to be in form at the U.S. Open, and even to probably win Wimbledon again sometime, I could see calling her overrated. She's billed to be by far the best player in the world and she's not--at least not right now.
I can't see calling Andy Roddick overrated. Most observers viewed him as the #2 player in the world going into Wimbledon, and that's exactly what he looked like.
Let me guess, curtj, it was the 5 votes for Ai as best grass court game?

Bingo. And it was only four at the time. Kudos to Ai for great finishes in singles, doubles and mixed. I don't know that she has a "grass court game" but it's hard to argue with her results.
Remember when one of the Williams sisters sort of got tripped up in a press conference and said Els Callens had the best grass court game?
