My Lopez is now the homerun king among catchers. He got his 43rd today against the Phillies. He's also tied for 4th place for most homerun in the NL. smile.gif

Yay, Javy! Hurrah! biggrin.gif

Now the season will be perfect if the Bravos can make their way to a second World Series crown. Go Braves!!

Javy's not much on postseason psychology, though. You don't give your rivals something to tack up in the clubhouse... as quoted by King Kaufman of Salon:

"'The [Cubs] have a pretty good team, but you got to think about the fact that they are a team that recruited players from different teams during the season,' Lopez told MLB.com. 'It's not like this team that has been together since Day 1. There's no way they can beat us as united as we are. Our chemistry is totally different than theirs. There's no doubt they have a great team. Their pitching speaks for itself. But it's all about teamwork.'"

Kaufman: "Chemistry's great when you're making medicine. When you're trying to score runs, you need to be able to hit. It really doesn't matter if you get along with your teammates. Many championship teams have proven this."

Was Javy sleeping all these years when the Braves flopped in the playoffs? Then again, if he was, that helps explain it.

As expected, my Javy has been named NLs comeback player of the year by 'The Sporting News'. A career best 43 homeruns and a loss of over 30 pounds helped. He had a great season. He also had a career best 127 homeruns at home in our bed. BOY! Am I tired.
