I am watching MTV right now, and I just found out that our very own Serena (lol) will be appearing on their Diary show next Saturday. I am very excited about that. What do you guys think she will reveal? :-)

Perhaps she'll confirm her relationship with Lavar Arrington. The Redskins colors certainly have become a favorite of hers. She wears them for every match.

I certainly hope to get some insider information. As private (while being in the public eye) as the Williamses seems to be, I am surprised, albeit very pleasantly, by Serena's willingness to have cameras following her around. No wonder she's been on a hot streak lately!

What did I take from this half hour show?

Serena is a fag hag.

LOL...Serena a fag hag! What an observation. Serena certainly brought out her cocky, er, confident banter for that half hour. "If I play 70 percent..." Confidence or cockiness? You be the judge.

I also found it VERY interesting that Jen and Serena had NOTHING to say to each other while waiting to take the court. I mean NOTHING. "I guess she's just not a good conversationalist." For some reason, I laughed out loud when she said that.

I have to say that it was very enlightening to see Serena in her downtime, and no, I don't think I want any gumbo.

Serena strikes me as the one player totally comfortable with being a true diva. And for that I admire her.

You know its amazing how much Serena has matured in the last 2 years. Since her '99 US OPEN win she has really made strides to improve her game, attitude and fitness. It's nice to seeing her making amends to really play the tour instead of picking and choosing events. Her game really shows her conviction.

One footnote, Mary Joe Fernandez made the comment that it took Venus about the same amount of time to come around at the same age. Kinda cool and true too. Serena during her interview at Roland Garros was asked about her new drive and focus. She said that growing up she watched and admired Monica Seles for her determination, focus and winning game! It was a really humble moment to see the new Serena really blossoming!
