Roddick played nearly flawless tennis today again againt Paradorn. Very very few errors today from Roddick. I hope Blake gets past his opponent today for a Blake/Roddick final tomorrow.

Andy played well today, but I think he really needs to work on his return game. His serve is obviously awesome, but how many tiebreaks has he played this week? He should be able to break serve a bit more. I think it is holding him back a bit. He seems too content to just get back returns and not really go after it. Good to see Blake playing well again. Hoping for an all-American final.

Got ourselves a match it looks like. Very slow start for Blake, but he has really cranked it up, and is making Andy work hard for every point. Blake looks really hot. I like the look. Good to see him play so well, and play with confidence. Great match so far.

Well Andy takes another straight set victory. Blake tried, and looked good on alot of points, but he had alot of errors as well. Some huge serving from Roddick wins him the championship.

James Blake is just such a pretty pretty man. I want to see him have better results just so he can be on my TV. If it weren't a couple of sloppy games at crucial times in the match, James could of made it closer. He really is so very talented, but plays silly tennis at some very inopportune times. He's got great running forehand going for him, and is extremely fast.

I agree, James Blake is painfully handsome. Love that guy.

Some bad shots came at very unfortunate times, too bad. But there was some high quality stuff...like those points near the end, when Roddick was able to get back an overhead from Blake, and Blake made a great angle-half-volley. The first set was determined just by the break. Blake returned that 147 mph serve from Roddick as well. Good match, and I'm hoping it gives both of those guys some momentum for the Open.

As for the errors, James can be pretty impatient - trying to go for winners and ending points to quickly. Add to that the onslaught of Roddick's big serve and forehand, it's no wonder Blake had problems. He probably felt pressured to go for broke.

Blake's making a great comeback though, he can't feel too bad about todays results.

I hope he grows the dreadlocks back. I'm not quite taking to the cueball look. But he looks sweet no matter what. biggrin.gif

On another note. I think Roddick needs to invest in a good jock strap or something. I swear, he was adjusting himself between every point.
