My apologies if this is an old topic -- can't tell, because old/locked threads are gone -- but what does everyone think about the Tennis Channel?

What do you love and hate about it? It's finally coming to my (lousy) cable provider in the Bay Area next month, and I'm definitely signing up for it -- I'm curious what I'm in for...

Unfortunately, we don't get the Tennis Channel down here. I get kind of envious of those based in USA that have 24 hour tennis on television.

Is it good value?

Maybe this development will make TTC a better investment: male models will serve as ballboys to keep things even next year in Madrid. Link to story.

Tennis Channel is great! Where else can you watch live tennis when the particular match isn't shown anywhere else on tv-today I watched the semi-finals Madrid masters live. Tomorrow the finals live. Last week I watched live Kremlin Cup. If you cant catch it live, the matches are always repeated that same day and again during the week. Plenty of interviews with the players I especially like Chris Myers 1/2 hour show. There are a lot of those up close and personals on a lot of players. You'll love it.

I currently get the Tennis Channel for free through Comcast. Come January, I'll have to subscribe to keep it.

It's pretty addictive. You see so much more than on ESPN. You're not limited to seeing matches with American players. It's sort of like watching CSPAN, but with tennis. I like the show "Center Court" that follows the players off the court.

The channel repeats matches, and some interview shows, sometimes due to limited programming at the moment, but that should change.

It's worth checking out. I'm still debating about whether I'll subscribe or not. It would be great if it were part of the basic package, like the Golf channel.
