Joe, while the first paragraph was more than enough to lure me into reading the article, I was pleasantly surprised by what I read about "Pat the bat", including his comments about the nickname itself....I guess despite his playboy reputation (he's quite a catch in more ways than one -- too bad he's not on "our team") it just goes to show that no major leaguer, regardless of age or physical stature, can put up the impressive numbers Burrell has this year without a lot of hard work....I definitely look forward to watching Pat the bat perform in Philly for many years to come (and won't he look good in their new stadium come April 2004? -- then again, he'd look mighty good in ANY stadium, including Camden Yards while playing for the HOME team ).
