Anastasia Myskina just keeps on rollin', and today she rolled over Daniela Hantuchova, 6-2, 6-1. No word yet on whether Hantuchova was injured or just out-played.
Wertheim is predicting Myskina over Mauresmo in Rd. 3 at Wimbledon.

Re: Myskina, so am I. I think Myskina can get very far into the draw at Big W. So can Hantuchova. Daniela is actually 2-0 vs. Dokic, who can play on grass. I think either Jelena or Daniela can beat Serena, too... but that's not why I'm here.
The final is set: Myskina will face CHANDA RUBIN (cue cheers!). Rubin beat up on Daja Bedanova, 6-4, 6-1. Rubin was down in the first set, 0-2, and raced back for a tremendous win.

Rubin has been playing great! I'm surprsied she ddn't get a mention in Wertheim's column. Too bad she'll face Serena in the fourth round. It could be a good test, but Serena should prevail. I bet if Rubin was facing anyone other than a Williams in the fourth round, she'd make the quarters.

Chanda Rubin has won Eastbourne! Woo Hoo! Rubin d. Anastasia Myskina, 6-1, 6-3
At s'-Hertogenbosch, Eleni Daniilidou d. Elena Dementieva, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Dementieva is *still* looking for her first tournament win...

In the men's draw at s'-Hertogenbosch, Schalken d. Robredo for a spot in the final. He'll face the winner of Clement vs. Canas.
At the Samsung Open, a.k.a. Nottingham, Bjorkman seems on the verge of victory against Wayne Arthurs. Bjorkman took the first set 6-2. The boys are tied up in the second 6-6.

As usual, I spoke too soon about the Nottingham final. Arthurs won the second set in a tie-break. The final score, though: Jonas Bjorkman d. Wayne Arthurs, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2
This was a GREAT tournament for Bjorkman, who has to be feeling pretty good going into his first round match against Hewitt at Wimbledon.

Wow, beating Arthurs (with that nasty nasty southpaw serve) on grass is quite an accomplishment! Hewitt had to withdraw from a tournament with a stomach virus, while his first-round opponent at W just notched an impressive win. It makes their upcoming Wimbledon match very interesting, and I gotta think the Hewitt camp's gotta be concerned.

What a difficult way to start a Grand Slam...again! Hewitt's got to be seriously bumming right now. The only good news is that it was reported that the virus started last monday for him, so perhaps it'll be well on it's way out by Monday's match. But, with a soaring Bjorkman waiting for him, Hewitt may just exit early from another 2002 grand slam. Drag.

The s'-Hertogenbosch final is done, but we have a problem: the ATP main site lists Clement as the winner, but the official website for the tournament says Schalken won. Hmm...

The official site has a photo of Schalken holding up the trophy, so I think it's fairly safe to say he was the victor.
The score: Schalken d. Clement, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2
Federer fans look out! Schalken is in Roger's section of the draw, and he also beat Federer at this event!
