Just looked at the doubles draw for Filderstadt. What's going on there? Navratilova and Cara Black?? What happened to Kuz? She was there trying to qualify; has she had a falling out with Martina? And have Stubbs/Raymond reconciled or is this just a temporary hook-up (so to speak) while Raymond waits for Davenport to recover from surgery? I was intrigued by wildcards Mauresmo/Pierce, but they met Navratilova/Black in the first round (bad luck) and went down today in three sets. Don't know that I've ever seen Mauresmo play doubles. She certainly doesn't play a ton -- her ytd prize money is just over $1000 in doubles (sounds like one tournament, early exit). But I found it intesting that she teamed with Pierce. Would love to see that doubles partnership stick around for a while.

wonder, I read in an article over the weekend that the Black/Navratilova partnership is a temporary deal. Martina & Kuz are almost shoe-ins for the EOY Championships, I don't think that they would end their partnership right now.

As for Raymond/Stubbs, I think that it's a temporary partnership for this tournament. I don't think that Raymond left on the best of terms ... If I recall, Lisa choose to terminate the pairing, so I'm surprised that they're playing together this week.

I think that Mauresmo/Pierce is an interesting pairing, one that would be fun to watch during Fed Cup. However, Loit is a more solid doubles player for the French team, so I'd be surprised to see Mary & Amélie play together in Fed Cup.
