Gagy4Gaby has posted a great list of his choice for the 5 hottest male and female tennis players of 2005.

I find it hard to believe that Nadal did not make the list and we would love to know if you argree or disagree with Gaby.

Nadal still needs to grow into his looks a little bit. As with the actual game of tennis, there's more depth when it comes to the men!

Any "Hottest Tennis Player" list that does not include Nicolas Kiefer is flawed and invalid in my book.

I would also include David Ferrer and Robby Ginepri as up-and-coming hotties.

I have always thought Kiefer looked like Bud Bundy. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I'm with tarheel--the first two names that struck me as missing were Kiefer and Ginepri, and I can definitely see where you're coming from with Ferrer as well. Robredo's pretty hot, too--all these Spanish guys are yummy.

I must say Clijsters was not someone that would ever have occurred to me. Other than Sharapova, I would have said the hottest of the top players were Dementieva and Mauresmo. Maybe we can get Gator Jamie or Ms de Blazer to weigh in.

I agree about Ginepri. I also expected Oliver Rochus to make G4G's list. He's a mini-hottie for sure. Of course, at 6'6, 300 pounds, we would look absolutley silly next to each other!

I would include, for his legs alone, Fernando Gonzalez.

I truly do love Oli, but hell, I only had five slots! I also wanted to squeeze Raemon Sluiter in, if you know what I mean, but those are the breaks.

For the girls, I felt like Maria, Serena, Daniela, and Ana (check out some of those other pics on her site!) were shoe-ins. I considered Dementieva, Clijsters, and MoMo for that last spot and ultimately gave it to Kim because of those splits. The splits are hot. Plus, one of the ladies on this site - I don't remember who - once told me that Kim Clijsters was hotter than Gaby Sabatini. So, you know, that had to count for something.

I'm amazed at my own self-restraint in that I didn't find a way to include Gaby, actually. She played a few exhibition matches this year ...

I tried to include people who I thought were sort of universally hot rather than who I personally think are the hottest players. I mean, Lopez would not be number one on my personal choice list, but there's not denying how friggin' hot the man is. You know?

Good list...Feliciano Lopez is certainly my #1. I would have included Moya, though...the arms alone on that guy.

I saw Ginepri this summer at the US Open, and in person he's not as hot as he is on television. For one, his clothing dwarfs his body--too big and loose. But his clothing also hides the fact that he is as bowlegged as wild west cowboy after three months on the trail, and couple that with his being shorter than most, he just went off my hot list. Still love his pits and guns, but he fails to live up to the standard. A better top fiver may be Mariano Puerta, something very sexy about those eyes, can just imagine his words softly in my ears, saying the damnest dirtiest things.

And you know, nothing is sexier, at least to me know, than success and confidence--and who defines that better than the King Roger. Although not a classic hunk, and although not endowed with massive forearms (a huge turnon), there's something about his patience and precision that makes him my hottest player. Honestly, I think he would be an incredibly hot date--and those eyes with that grin--done! Can you imagine him across a table from you (or, okay, beside you in bed) looking at you with those eyes, whispering with that accent, and finishing off with that grin--heaven.

And since Ram(who was completely off my radar) and the Byran bros were listed, I'd offer another doubles player--M. Llodra--anyone who strips to his underwear and parades around the court after a victory is hot and my kind of guy.

As for the ladies, glad to see Hantuchova on the list, always loved her look, even more than Sharapova. I remember seeing on the Tennis Channel last year that lots of the male players found Gisela Dulko attractive. Saw her Tennis Channel profile also this year--she's attractive, but maybe a little too low profile atthe moment. Maybe next year.

It's hard to find pics of Andy Ram, because he's less well know. I don't think the one from his ATP profile does him justice.

On the men's side...where's Gambill? He's so beautiful! I would have put Safin at #1, and Ginepri in instead of Ram. Also, as cute as the Bryans are, I'd have Robredo or Kiefer in before them too.


Clijsters is one of the sweetest ladies on the tour, she's just not that pretty, IMO. Sharpie's pretty, I just wouldn't have her as #1. Hantuchova's the hottest of the group, she's #1 to me. Elena Dimentieva has a hot face and beautiful body, I'd have her at #2. I'd have Barbara Schett in there instead of Vaidisova. Serena's got a pretty face, (killer smile) and even though J-Lo has nothing on her in the big-ole-butt department, Serena still fits on the list.

Schett retired, otherwise she may very well have made the list. She's beautiful.

I agree with some of his list. I agree with Safin and Blake but I'd replace the remaining 3 with Nadal, Puerta, and Fernando Verdasco.

As for the women I agree with Serena Williams, Ivanvic, and Hantuchova but would replace the other 2 with Dementieva and Nicole Vaidisova

Sadly, Dementieva was eliminated from contention once I remembered that she talks like The Chicken Lady from Kids in the Hall.

Vaidisova is very pretty but underage. I made sure my girls were at least 18 wink

Dementieva clearly deserves the nod over Kim. Just tell her not to talk during the... er, match.

As for the men, I would forcibly evict from your list: Lopez (cut that ridiculous hair!), Ram (based on that picture) and Bryan (nice guy, but ordinary).

Mariano Puerta has been a bit disappointing during the ATP Masters Cup in shanghai but i think it's kinda cute that he's a bit stocky and chunky.

I agree! Puerta has a beautiful face and great legs and a bubble butt! Lopez has a hot ass ,sweet face but that ugly, long hair has to go!

Myself, for the guys, can't picture two of the choices as doubles players; I just don't watch doubles. I'd certainly include Robredo before Lopez; I think he's just as good looking and, so far, a better player. I like Ancic too and hopes he improves next year.Muller certainly caught my attention in his match with Roddick at the US Open.I'd pick Gasquet over Nadal. Keifer is sexy but unsavory!

Great women's choices; Kim definitely qualifies IMHO.

I met Feliciano Lopez at the Pilot Pen last summer and he was not attractive at all. Before the meeting, I thought he was interesting looking - not anymore.

Where is Tommy Haas in all of this - he was so nice and just as hot in person as on television.

Stefan Koubek was hotter in person than in pictures and he doesn't wear underwear which gives me a nice view of his sweaty butt sticking to his shorts and what an ass on this guy

I'm glad some others have come to Kim's defense. The profile pic of her is sorta like a driver's license photo - way too close up to be flattering - but I think she's looking fabulous these days with the new 'do and the tip-top body. And did I mention the splits are hot?

The biggest surprise to me is that no one has complained about Andy Roddick not being on the list!

I think Kim deserves the Miss Congeniality award instead. I mean, I really, really do like her.

G4G, I have to side with the editor and say that Nadal should be #1. Overall, his disposition and outlook is great -- he seems like a great person, which I think is hot. There hasn't been a better ass on the planet since primo era Joe Dallesandro, and in fact I think Nadal's ass wins that matchup too. Plus, unlike Lopez, his website isn't flooded with 'Aren't I beautiful?' Fabio on the beach vanity photos. FLo could take some modesty tips from his younger doubles partner.

Still, Lopez comes off sweet and likeable on the No Strings episode devoted to him, and Nadal is maybe too young to ogle without a pang of guilt, so I guess I understand.

Count me in as a Puerta lover. And James Blake, exxxcellent. Along with Nadal, they'd be my top 3. Also like Robredo and most of the Spaniards. The Bryan bros...yeucch.

Completely agree on Nalbandian's nose/hair/clothes. There's potential there, however! And you're right about the clothes in general these days. With the exception of Nadal, it's hard to get a good look at anyone. Remember Tomas Muster in the early 90s with those short white shorts??????
