Note: There is already another thread on the Division Series with predictions and other comments. I suggest continue posting on that thread with link below. Once a thread is started you cannot start a poll on that thread, so I had to start a new thread with this poll.

Haha. Angels in 5. Polls rule.

Polls rule.
After last week's Presidential Debate, they definitely do.
Also, I hope our friendly OutSporters are correct in their Yankee picks. I would love a rematch against J.A.'s Angels. wink

Same here
As of the start of the Cardinals-Dodgers game the results are overwhelmingly in favor of the Cardinals 25-4.

Pat, Cattledog: I was kinda hoping the Angels played the Yankees, after the sweep at the Stadium in August and all. I'll be happy with an Angels v. Twins ALCS though!
Wow, the Cardinals can really hit the ball, can't they?

Jim, according to our poll though, it looks like the Angels are not going to prevail with most people, 17-15, saying the Red Sox are going to win the series. In fact, the team from Mass. is off to a good start leading 1-0 in the first.
Yes, I'd like to see a Yankees-Angels series as well. The Yankees want to make up for the August series as well as the 2002 divisional series.

Can I change my vote to Red Sox in 3?

Ditto, can I change mine to "Red Sox to sweep?".

J.A., maybe you can edit your original pick and use that little broom sweeping icon that you put on the Yankee thread back in August.

I can't believe you're giving up faith already--I bet you don't even clap if you believe in fairies.

Even the godforsaken rally monkey was of no use last night!

So true. Vicious, but true.
When the Angels brought in Washburn, I had a feeling it was over. I didn't think it would take one pitch. Sheesh.

One series over, and I'm batting 0 for 1 (Outsporters picked the Red Sox by a slim margin: 17-15). And with the Yankees pounding the Twins... ewww, just the thought of a Yankees-Red Sox AL championship... lord, spare us! C'mon Twins fans... start waving those hankies!

I knew the Red Sox would win the series but I didn't think they were good enough to sweep. When Timlin gave up that slam I figured oh well a game four, but the rest of the bullpen stayed strong. This should bode well for Boston as they get to rest their starters while waiting for those damn Yankees. At least I hope it's the Yankees.

Like Johnny Damon's description of this year's Red Sox: "We're just a bunch of idiots with bad hair having a lot of fun." That's a t-shirt just waiting to happen!

Well, 2 series decided and I'm now 0-2 in picks (Outsporters did pick the Yankees 23-9).

I'm also 0-AL, but it looks like I'll be right in predicting the Cards in 4. I also picked the Braves in 5, so that may also come to pass. Being right is everything, isn't it? wink

I've got one right team in each league, and Houston if they win.
It's a sign of the Cards' domination (despite losing last night) that Eric Gagne's only appearances were when his team was way behind.

So far I'm 3 for 3, and I picked the Braves in 5, so.........

3 out of 4 for me. I had picked the Braves in 5 over the Astros in the poll. I noticed that both the NLCS and ALCS will feature teams who are division rivals, which should add an extra measure of excitement this year. I wondered if this had happened since the wild card format started about ten years ago; a little research showed this occurred only once before, in 1999 (Mets vs Braves and Yankees vs Red Sox).
