Andre Agassi defeated Kevin Kim 6-2, and 7-5 in action yesterday. Andre returned to action yesterday for the first time since aggravating a chronic back injury at the French Open. More televised tennis today Saturday and Sunday!

It's a nice welcome back for Andre, who should be able to handle the field. The only other seeded player left in the tourney is Hrbaty. Andre has to play Paradorn next, who he's had problems with, but Srichaphan has been so lousy all year that you figure Andre should come away with the win. Ginepri, last week's winner at the RCA, is also still around. But I'd think Andre - if truly healthy - plays a stronger version of Ginepri's game.

When did Agassi leave Nike? It's so strange to see him in the Adidas stripes at the Mercedes Benz. I'm pretty sure Andre's massive deal with Nike ran out last year, but I would think that they would get him to end his career with the swoop.

Chela started off pretty strong today, but Andre caught fire and looked sharp with a capital "s". Hope his back health holds out for him.

Wow, that second set between Agassi and Muller was some great tennis. When Agassi broke his serve in the second, it really did seal the deal, but both seemed to play high level stuff in that second set. Another good thing to note was Agassi's movement. He didn't look like he'd slowed down a single step. Like to see him play like this in NY in a few weeks.

Cool news about the photos. Can't wait to see 'em. And a really nice comeback to tennis for Andre. If he can avoid Federer at the Open, he could cause some trouble for the top contenders.
