with the open over.....what? Being new to NYC I'm pissed that tennis in NYC is so difficult. It'd be nice to find some 4.5-5.0 people to play with without spending $3000 at Tennisport, but they are the nicest courts I've seen. Central park is a pain. You have to deal with begginners spraying balls all over the place.

i'm moving to nyc in october, are tennis courts really that hard to find?

not neccessarily hard to find the courts...but the people to play with. it seems easier to get players at the private clubs but they are very expensive and here are really only a couple. if i could find a couple od guys to play with i'd have no troubles with the courts. you might have to spend some time getting there but that's not a problem.
