Several guys asked me to post this early, given the holiday next week ... and some will be out of range of their PC and mouse for much of the time.
Here goes: it's Rivalry Week Part III with a few great intra-state schools going at it. Due to popular demand, I'm also throwing in a DI-AA game: the Bayou Classic: Grambling @ Southern.
The rules:
1. Pick the winner in each game.
2. Predict how many points the team you pick to win the designated Game of the Week will win by. This will be used for tiebreak purposes. This week it is Florida State @ Florida.
3. The first pick is needed by the kickoff of the first game on Friday.
4. Picks MUST be submitted either via the Private Message function or E-mail. My email address is dcbucky2000@hotmail.com -- please do not post your picks here. Include your Outsports nickname with your picks.
Friday, November 28
1. Nebraska @ Colorado
2. Arkansas @ LSU
3. Texas @ Texas A&M
4. Toledo @ Bowling Green State University
Saturday, November 29
5. Maryland @ Wake Forest
6. Virginia Tech @ Virginia
7. Georgia @ Georgia Tech
8. Tennessee @ Kentucky
9. Miami of Florida @ Pittsburgh
10. Notre Dame @ Stanford (my obligatory Left Coast game)
11. Grambling @ Southern (Division I-AA)
12. Florida State @ Florida -- GAME OF THE WEEK -- tiebreaker -- predict by how many points the victor will win.
I will be gone starting Tuesday -- heading down to Dixie (hanging out at my favorite Packer bar on Bourbon Street for the Detroit game and then up to Baton Rouge to see the LSU-Arkansas game) so will be unable to post here who has sent in his/her picks.
GOOD LUCK -- AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanks for the early picks.
How about posting a Div II school like...oh, for example...Carson-Newman if they make it to the next round?

In recent weeks, I have been picking the Horns to lose only to lose myself on OutSports. I am picking Texas to win this week, so, maybe this bodes well for you and the team from Closet Station.

Plus, I think there is going to be an upset this weekend between my two orange teams (Texas in Closet Station or Tennessee in Lexington).

I'm mandatorily obligated -- by virtue of my alumni status -- to pick my beloved Yellow Jackets o' Georgia Tech over the hated Silver Britches of the University of Georgia. "Hunker down you Hairy Dawgs," my flabby ass
Looks like we're both starting the week off 0-1.

It looks like a cigarette when just the top is lit dirty orange.

Oh the problem with this Rivalry Week stuff, you just have to pick your team over the hated opponent, even though common sense says otherwise. I am going with my fading-fast Hokies over the achizophrenic Virginia, who looks great one week, lousy the next. Texas A&M over Texas, GT over UGA, same situation for you guys. But that is what makes college football better than pro, loyalty and loss.

A four-way at the top! Congrats to Palladio, azairforce, pat125 and inmatman, who each correctly picked 11 of the 12 games.
But the tiebreaker is still a tie: Palladio and azairforce who both predicted a 4 point FSU victory over the Gators.
11-1
Palladio (FSU by 4)
azairforce (FSU by 4)
inmatman (FSU by 11)
pat125 (FSU by 1)
10-2

Whew.... at least I wasn't under .500 for the week. But wait, let me check my picks:
1. Colorado (Lost to Nebraska 22-31)
2. LSU (Beat Arkansas 24-55)
3. Texas (Beat Texas A&M 46-15)
4. Bowling Green State University (Beat Toledo 31-23)
5. Maryland (Beat Wake Forest 41-28)
6. Virginia Tech (Lost to Virginia 21-35)
7. Georgia (Beat GA Tech 34-17)
8. Tennessee (Beat Kentucky 20-7)
9. Pittsburgh (Lost to Miami 28-14)
10. Stanford (Lost to Notre Dame 57-7)
11. Grambling (Lost to Southern 44-41)
12. Florida State by 3 (Beat Florida by 4, 38-34)
By my calculations, I should be 7-5. (Hmphh... must be Crocs doing the math trying to exact some revenge.)

Was Azairforce 11-1 or 10-2? You have him both places.

WOW, I haven't been in a four-way. Well, not since college.
You should have heard the screams of joy emanating from The Tavern when FSU scored that last touchdown. "4 POINTS!!!" My friend Justin just looked at me like "what the f man?"
