Jeff Tedford, current offensive coordinator at Oregon, is the new head coach at Cal.

Tedford brings a rich mix of playing and coaching experience:

* Decent QB at Fresno State in early '80s
* Six good seasons in the CFL
* Assistant at FS, credited with helping Trent Dilfer develop as a top college QB
* assistant in CFL
* 4 years as OC at Oregon

Tedford will coach through the Fiesta Bowl but will not, for obvious reasons, be involved in recruiting.

As Gerald Fjord once kinda said, "our long Holmoe nightmare is over ....."

Better watch out, Junior University, those easy Big Game cakewalks might be a thing of the past
