Full Version: Who will the new Georgia Tech Coach be?

Screw Notre Dame. Nobody is gonna take that job now. I think the new coach of Georgia Tech will be somebody in the mold of Paul Hewitt, the Jackets Basketball coach.

With that said, Coach Braine should hire either Bob Pruett of the Marshall University Thundering Herd or Mike Kruczek of the Central Florida Golden Knights.

I hope Georgia Tech does not go about its search for a new football coach like they did for a basketball coach, when they ended up with Hewitt. But I've got no faith in their AD, so I'm pessimistic. I'm still offended by how they handled that search and if pull that stunt again, I'm turning in my degree and never donating to the old alma mater again.

That said: apparently George O'Leary was a real creep. Condoning the assault on that Georgia Tech player in practice last season. Good riddance to the fraud (and by fraud, I refer to his inability to coach without Ralph Friedgen as his assistant).

sparty on
Two coaches that have not been mentioned to make a move upward in positions but definately desearve a serious look are:

Bob Pruett (Marshall) and Gary Darnell (Western Michigan) both have done wonders at their respective MAC schools and should be considered for a major conferance school. Are you listening Indiana/Georgia Tech/Notre Dame/etc...

Now the rumor mill is screaming loud that the new coach will be Chan Gailey of the Miami Dolphins nee Dallas Cowboys. Hmmm? I must research to see if he's worthy.

Merry Christ Day everybody!!!
