Willie Williams who's recruitment by Miami received a lot of publicity because of his alleged 11 arrests before the age of 18 is shopping for a new school.

This past weekend Williams zoomed in on West Virginia and many thought this would be his new home. However Williams forgot one small detail. WVU isn't Miami and doesn't recruit players like Williams. Keep in mind Williams has a 3.3 GPA and hasn't been arrested since arrving on campus in his two years in Coral Gables. That being said, WVU isn't the kind of institution that accepts players with backgrounds of this caliber. Good for WVU for not selling its Soul and a win at all cost as it makes runs at the National Championship the next 2-3 years by dismissing that it has to win with unethical practicies like its step sister in Blacksburg and bandit programs in Miam and FSU.

I'm looking forward to watching WVU next season as much of the rest of us, but you do know there's a way to talk the Mountaineers up without cutting other programs down, right? Every thread seems to be a jab at another school!

How is the D going to be this fall?

I don't see how stating the obvious truth about those program is cutting on them.

Relating to this paticular situation, Willie Williams was one of the prized recruits in the class of 2004.

It was interesting he assumed he would received with open arms in Morgantown like he was initially at Miami. While I am all about players having second chances, if WVU ever became a program that lost its soul in allowing these elements onto the football field, I would cease to support WVU athletics. Luckily that isn't the operating procedures of WVU and many other outstanding athletic programs in the country.

we're returning a good chunk of our defense from last year; I'm not really worried too much because we have the offense to make up for any problems in the D
