At 8:00 am PST today the Rose Bowl put a limited number (<1000) tickets on public sale, one of those mad dial-in lotteries. Did anyone here 1) try and/or 2) succeed in getting tix? I think they were $150 each.

Down here, they say that the Orange Bowl might not sell out, even with the large number of Gay-Tor alums in the area. An ad in yesterday's FLL Scum-Sentinel was even offering club seats.

A few weeks back a friend of mine in LA (Miami grad) donated the minimum amount to UM's athletic dept. to secure Rose Bowl tickets. He got a bunch o' tix locked up in advance. Very savvy, indeed.
Of course, now it's too late. But use the notion for future reference in case YOUR team is in contention half way through the season. Most schools have a policy in that vein. The minimum donation amounts may vary.
