on 3/31/02...I guess they wanted a great team to be in the spotlight to open the season

Right. Baseball. I'm glad the Angels are opening with the Tribe, it'll be a good test of their revamped pitching staff and lineup. I'm cautiously optimistic that the Angels won't suck this year.

Plus, I really must make an effort to meet Jim Thome, either at the players entrance to the Big Ed or at their hotel (easy enough to find out; most teams press guides list the hotels in the teams stay in for each city). I just want to see if he's as sexy in person as I think he is on TV.

Woo Hoo!! Or should I say Wahoo! I can't wait til I get to watch the Tribe for the first game of the season. Its not often I get a chance to catch them on TV.

Even without JuanGone and Robby, they'll still be the class of the AL Central.

Don't get too excited Tribesmen! Thanks to no contraction, the Twins will be around and have something to say about the AL Central crown. Best starting pitching in the division and the young bats have another year experience under their belts. Remember, you can't spell TWINS without WINS! Sorry! Couldn't resist!

If we are talking about the AL Central that you have to throw the Detroit Tigers into the Ring to win it with a young talented pitching ..... Ok i tried but i just can't keep a straight face! If Illitch is willing to throw all this money around for the Red Wings why the hell can't he invest a little in the damn Tigers!!!!
